Text copyright 1967, 1968, 1981 and copyright for photos 1981. Stated First Printing of this special edition. 149 pages plus photographs, unpaginated, afterwards. Inscribed by Bill Curtsinger on half title page and also signed by him on the title page. The inscription states, "Jon, Thank you for your help - Here's John McPhee's chocolate canoe on the jacket and inside some pictures of a couple of rivers you should think about running someday."
