The Nativity Play

Mick Inkpen is one of the top-selling picture book artists and writers in the world and is consistently in the top ten most borrowed authors in UK libraries. The Kipper and Wibbly Pig stories have millions of readers worldwide. He has won the British Book Award twice for Lullabyhullaballoo and Penguin Small and the Children's Book Award for Threadbear. He has also been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Smarties Award three times, winning Bronze for Wibbly Pig's Silly Big Bear. In addition to this, Kipper won a BAFTA for best animated children's film.

After leaving school Nick Butterworth went to work as a typographic designer and formed a partnership with Mick Inkpen. Nick's books have sold over 12 million copies around the world in more than 25 languages. He has won several prestigious awards including the Nestle Gold Award for The Whisperer. Perhaps his best known character Percy the Park Keeper first appeared in 1989 in One Snowy Night and has been the subject of a series of animated films for television.

Follow the story of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus with Tracy, Sam and the rest of the class in the school nativity play. Everyone says their lines proudly, and finally innkeepers, wisemen, shepherds and angels gather to sing a joyous Christmas carol with the mums and dads in the audience.
