Présentation de l'éditeur :
How many vital corporate decisions are based on educated guesses and corporate rules of thumb? Effective executive decisions demand a more robust framework of analysis. Making decisions about mergers and acquisitions is both a science and an art. In consolidating two seperate companies, issues of strategy, price and corporate culture must come together in one coherent analysis of the opportunity and the new combined firm. Mergers and Aquisitions brings together the science and the art, introducing the key concepts and techniques in a smooth transition from theory to practice. The book tackles three critical challenges:When should a firm consider a merger or an acquisition? How should a firm structure its acquisition team and approach? How does a firm determine the right price for a merger partner or acquisition partner? Together the book and accompanying software provide the structure and support for making one of the most important decisions of a firm the right one.
